![]() Jeff and Sandi McMaines offered Pederson a chance to show their Nova Scotia Toller “Jet” in the UKC Juniors program. Lauren started showing dogs in 4-H with a rescue pom by the name of Foxy. Lauren has continued to use the skills she learned in the 4-H Dog project under leaders Mary Holsen, Linda Wiedewitsch and Jeff and Sandi McMaines. Ziva Rose is owned by Kathy Pederson and breeder Dee Nichols of Grady, Ala. Characteristically, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is an intelligent, receptive and resistant dog. The breed became very popular in Canada and the United States around the 1980s, while in Italy its spread is only recently.
